American Candy Store National Cash Register

An outstanding example of the iconic “Candy Store” style cash register by the National Cash Register Company, one of the premier cash register manufacturers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Cash registers of this variety would have been an eye-catching focal point in a business, elaborately designed to showcase the style and prestige of the establishment.

This National model 317 is a beautiful countertop cash register with a lavish brass case. Ornate castings of flowers and garlands adorn the entire piece with a decorative marquee top. Prominent “National” logo castings appear at the front of the cash drawer and back of the machine. A gleaming white marble top rests under the keys in beautiful contrast. This impeccable machine is beautifully restored and in delightful working condition.
