Swiss Travel Clock by Tiffany & Co.

Dating to 1929, this fine travel clock is by the prestigious luxury retailer Tiffany & Co. Reminiscent of a gracious less harried past, travel clocks are endearing timepieces. They are a unique collectible while still quite practical. This particularly handsome example is presented in a brown alligator skin case.

A 15 jewel pocketwatch-type movement, adjusted to 3 positions, is fitted to the interior and runs 8 days on a full wind. Concord Watch Co. was the Swiss maker of the movement, a respected private label supplier of high-end movements for luxury brands.

The time displays on a crisp white dial in eye-catching Art Deco style with bold Arabic numerals and cathedral hands. Its excellent condition overall indicates that it was well cared for. Gilt intials and a date are embossed on the front right corner, adding to its historical charm.
