American Edison Triumph Model 2 and 4 Minute Cylinder Phonograph
Thomas Edison invented the cylinder phonograph to rival the Victor record phonograph. His cylinder phonographs are considered more of a rarity since the Victor design gained widespread popularity throughout the 20th century.
The Edison phonograph utilized cylinders as the medium to record and play recordings. Cylinders slid onto a spindle and played for either two or four minutes. This Triumph model plays both cylinder durations. A large spring wind mechanism powers the phonograph.
The eleven panel metal cygnet horn has a painted faux wood grain finish.
The oak case comes with a lid with handle that locks into place. The Edison signature is on both the case and mechanism.
This fully restored phonograph comes with a one year warranty.
