Rare Swiss imperial orchestral model interchangeable cylinder music box by Nicole Freres, Geneva. This outstanding music box comes complete with seven 15-1/4″ x 2-1/4″ diameter cylinders, each playing 8 tunes. This music box houses a double spring movement and features animated mandarin strikers playing 6 saucer bells, a drum, castanet, and a zither attachment. The instrument is housed in an exceptional hand carved mahogany case, which sits upon its original matching base cabinet, on ornate cabriole legs, complete with 4 drawers specifically made to store the cylinders.
