American Rare Chelsea Yacht Wheel Electric Clock

This exceptional timepiece, known as the Mariner, is an iconic clock produced by the Chelsea Clock Company of Chelsea, Massachusetts. It is a rarity as an electric model of this design, and very few are known to exist. Chelsea Clock is renowned to this day for producing mechanical marine timepieces and is the only remaining manufacturer of that category in the United States. The Mariner was actually designed as a mantel clock due to demand for their timepieces from residences and commercial businesses.

Meticulously crafted by Chelsea with a red brass clock case and handles, contrasted by a patinated bronze base and wheel. Red brass has a slightly higher copper content, lending a subtle rosy hue. All of the brass was forged and hand-finished to perfection. The clock is mounted on a mahogany base and back, completing the presentation of this fine timepiece.

The time is displayed on a silvered dial, appointed with hand-finished and applied bronze Arabic numerals, serpentine hands, and a brass crescent-moon seconds hand. And finally, this rare historic timepiece comes with a full restoration and a one-year warranty.
