Austrian Early Biedermeier Vienna Regulator

A beautiful Austrian Vienna regulator with the clean, elegant lines of Biedermeier design. Crafted with characteristic and simplistic beauty in a richly grained rosewood case. The case features a crisp crown molding crest with ebonized beadwork, ebonized carvings to the upper and lower corners, a sleek sculpted drop pediment, and string inlay throughout.

An 8-day, 3-weight mechanical pendulum movement keeps the time and marks the quarter-hours with a delightful Grand Sonnerie strike on two tuned gongs. The time displays on a 2-piece porcelain Roman numeral dial fitted with blued steel hands and accented by a gilt cast brass pie crust bezel. Further, this lovely timepiece bears a full restoration and a one-year warranty. A wonderful tribute to design and horology.
