German Unusual Lenzkirch Wall Clock
This impressive wall clock dates to the late 1800s and was masterfully produced by the renowned Lenzkirch factory of Germany’s famous Black Forest region. The expertly crafted oak case seems to marry the designs of the popular bracket and cartel clocks. True to Lenzkirch form, it is richly embellished with elaborate carvings to include the crest, half-columns, scrolling sides, and drop pediment. Exceptionally ornamented with applied brass spandrels, acanthus leaf, and mythical faces.
Keeping the time within is a time-only spring-driven movement that runs for 8 days on a full wind. Displaying the time with blued steel trident hands on a silvered Roman numeral chapter ring within a fancy brass repoussé surround and accented by a chased brass center. The movement plate is signed and numbered. And finally, this splendid timepiece also bears a full restoration and a one-year warranty.
