Korean Chest on Stand

Korean chests have long been considered one of that country’s specialties in craftsmanship.

This small ash wood chest displays the classic, simple, clean lines that exemplify fine Korean furnishings. The chest also features ornate brass hinges, pulls and corner pieces. A drop front and a small drawer provides access inside the chest. Korean writing is imprinted throughout the inside. Finally, an unusual brass fish form locking mechanism and key secures the chest.

The chest sits atop a gracefully curved four-legged stand.
