Rare Swiss Triple Complication Hunter Case Pocket Watch by Girard-Perregaux

This exceptional triple or grand complication pocket watch dates to 1885 and is exemplary in innovation. Produced by acclaimed Swiss maker Girard- Perregaux. The full hunter case is expertly crafted of 18K yellow gold and features an exhibition crystal over the movement.

Housed within the luxurious gold case is a high-grade fully jeweled movement with calendar, moon phase, stopwatch chronograph, and minute repeater capabilities. The minute repeater sounds on 2 gongs announcing the time to the precise minute. The time displays on a crisp white porcelain dial with Roman numerals and gold serpentine hands. Four subsidiary dials are as follows: moon phase and seconds at the 3 o’clock position; day at the 6 o’clock position; month at the 9 o’clock position; and date at the 12 o’clock position. The unusual chronometer track outermost on the dial is a 2/10 of a second scale for pinpointing the exact time of very rapid events or movements. The Girard-Perregaux signature appears on the dial and movement.

Girard-Perregaux holds a long tradition of high-end engineered watches and haute horology. This fine pocket watch is a testament to that heritage. Par excellence for engineering, aesthetics, and precision. In addition this historic timepiece also bears a full restoration and one-year warranty.
