Swiss Rare Triple Complication Hunter Case Pocket Watch by A. Golay Leresche & Fils
This rare grand complication pocket watch dates to 1910 and was produced by highly regarded watchmakers and jewelers, A. Golay Leresche & Fils of Geneva. The full hunter case is finely crafted of 18K yellow gold and features an exhibition crystal over the movement.
Housed within the beautiful gold case is a high-grade 39 jewel movement with perpetual calendar, moon phase, stopwatch chronograph, and minute repeater capabilities. The minute repeater strikes the minutes at will on tuned gongs. The time displays on a white porcelain dial with Roman numerals and spade and whip hands. Four subsidiary dials are as follows: date at the 3 o’clock position; moon phase and seconds at the 6 o’clock position; day at the 9 o’clock position; and month at the 12 o’clock position with adjustment for leap year. The chronometer track is outermost on the dial. Signed on the dial, and the movement is also signed and numbered. This exceptional timepiece was marketed by Le-Coultre. Further, it bears a full restoration and a one-year warranty.
In 1837 watchmaker Auguste Golay Leresche established his business in Geneva, which grew and evolved to its current status as Golay Fils & Stahl. Today the company enjoys a rich heritage and operates privately in Geneva, specializing in exclusive creations and acquisitions. It also exhibits internationally at the top antiques and jewelry shows.
