American Rare Marquetry Inlaid National Cash Register

This outstanding cash register was crafted by the National Cash Register Company, one of the premier cash register manufacturers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Extravagant cash registers of this variety would have been an eye-catching focal point in a business, elaborately designed to showcase the style and prestige of the establishment they resided within.

This exquisite countertop cash register resides in a lavish black walnut case with flame mahogany veneer. Ornate marquetry inlaid design adorns the entire piece, along with cast brass accents and elegant carvings. The “National” logo plaque appears just beneath the numeric display. A gleaming black glass top rests under the keys in a beautiful accentuation of the machine’s rich color. Underneath the hinged lid, a nickel-plated interior tallies sales and accounts for the day.

This charming machine is beautifully restored, in delightful working condition, and comes with a one-year warranty.
