Exceptional Porcelain and Gilt Bronze Urn

An exceptional Sèvres style porcelain and gilt bronze covered urn. Beautifully presented in predominately deep blue and gold with two finely handpainted scenic panels in a softer palette. The front depicting a young couple frolicking with putti, and the reverse a serene lake and landscape scene. Each lovely panel is framed in raised, fired gold foliate motif, while the urn in its entirety is adored with similar floral and foliate decoration. Lovely winged maiden figureheads rest atop each of the handles, and a pineapple finial adorns the removable cover. The urn is raised on a decorative gilt plinth with crest detail to the front.
