French Onyx, Champlevé, and Limoges Enamel Mantel Clock
This lovely mantel clock features beautiful adornment by the esteemed Limoges Porcelain Factory. The exceptional case is crafted of elegant translucent onyx with lavish champlevé enamel plaques showcasing intricate multicolored flowers, vines, and scrollwork. Striped champlevé enamel columns stand on each side, while luxurious doré or gilt bronze decorates the column pediments. At the center rests a lovely Limoges plaque depicting a cherub playing the mandolin. The image is set upon a rich navy blue background within a gilt frame with two gilded medallions on each side.
An 8-day spring-driven movement powers the clock and strikes a bell at the hour and half-hour. The dial is further adorned with gilt accents, displaying the time upon gilt Arabic numerals framed by a gilt bezel with an eye-catching gilt and enameled dial center.
This beautiful clock is fully restored and carries a one-year warranty.
