German Polyphon Musical Floor Standing Clock

Transport yourself to a world of melodic enchantment with this musical clock by the Polyphon Music Box Company of Leipzig, Germany. Crafted in the early 20th century, this captivating treasure seamlessly weaves together the art of horology and musical entertainment.

The clock resides within a beautifully crafted walnut case adorned with flowing scrollwork, shells, and columns carved into the facade. Expertly turned finials and a wonderfully carved crown and top further add to the clock, giving the piece remarkable architectural dimension. In the base rests a lovely 11-1/4″ double comb disc music box movement created by the renowned Polyphon Music Box Company. A lever at the left-hand side of the case allows the user to activate the music box, playing an enchanting melody whenever you choose.

The walnut case’s rich hue is the perfect backdrop for a two-piece Roman numeral porcelain dial. An 8-day time-and-strike French movement powers the clock, and an open escapement below the 12 o’clock position provides a mesmerizing glimpse into its mechanical workings.

This wonderful musical clock allows you to experience the magic and melodies of yesteryear. It is truly a piece that can transform any moment into a harmonious delight.

This lovely musical clock bears a complete restoration and a one-year warranty.
