German Victorian Mantel Clock
This impressive German mantel clock hails from the Victorian era dating to the late 1800’s. The mantel clock was very important to the decor of the Victorian home and was meant to be noticed. This beautiful example was expertly crafted in a walnut case that has achieved a lovely patina and exhibits Victorian architectural characteristics. The front of the case features various ornate embellishments of brass ormolu, finials, spheres, and paw feet.
Keeping the time within is an 8-day time-only movement. The time is displayed on a porcelain dial with hand-painted Arabic numerals and spade hands. Further, this wonderful timepiece bears a full restoration and a one-year warranty.
