American Walking Stick With Sterling Reclining Woman Handle
The American walking stick dates to the turn of the 20th century and is a wonderful fusion of artistry and functionality. The cast silvered bronze topper in this example is a garment-draped reclining female figure. Her head is tilted back and her hair drapes down and around the handle. The design cleverly serves as an extended support. A smooth wood shaft with an ebony finish provides a nice contrast to its silvered topper.
With unique and artistic toppers, walking sticks and canes are very popular collectibles and continue to serve as stylish walking aids.
