German Figural Novelty Lamp

Two playful youths frolic around a glass globe in this charming German novelty lamp. The figures are beautifully cast in white metal with polychrome finish in soft pastels. Centering the figures is the original overshot glass globe that emits a pleasant glow. Overshot glass is the result of artfully and skillfully rolling hot glass on finely ground shards of glass. All are fitted atop a base formed as a natural landscape with a warm gilt finish. Further, this lovely novelty lamp dating to 1920 has been expertly restored and rewired.
