German Winterhalder and Hofmeier Mantel Clock
German clockmakers Winterhalder and Hofmeier patterned this rare clock after an English fusee driven mantel clock. It has a mahogany case. It also features mitered beveled glass panels on all four sides. Cast brass ormolu and feet complete the case.
The brass dial has a silvered chapter ring with Arabic numerals. In addition, a small regulator dial sits beneath the arch above the main dial.
A high quality eight day movement strikes on two tuned gongs on the quarter hour and employs a bim bam strike. The initial W and H are stamped on the back of the movement.
The clock comes with a one year warranty.
