German Rare Dwarf Two-Weight Victorian Wall Clock
An eight day weight driven wall clock usually requires more length than a similarly sized eight day spring driven clock. Hence the name “dwarf” when referring to this German clock. It has a shorter drop, or fall, for the weights to descend and power a full eight day movement; a more difficult process for clockmakers.
This German two weight wall clock comes in a walnut case and has ebonized accents. Furthermore, it features fluted Ionic style columns with engravings. The white porcelain dial has Roman numerals. The retailer, Math. Muller, appears on the dial as well.
The clock has an eight day, two train movement striking on a gong on the hour and half hour. The clock, manufactured by Remember, comes with a one year warranty.
