American Ithaca Calendar Clock Co. Index Double Dial Perpetual Calendar Clock
The Ithaca Calendar Clock Company of New York is notable in the American clock industry for manufacturing calendar clocks in the mid 19th to early 20th centuries.
This Index Double Dial, manufactured for the Lynch Brothers, features two separate dials to display the time and date. Roman numerals and decorative hands show the time, while the calendar dial displays the month, day, and date. Furthermore, the perpetual complication allows the calendar to automatically adjust to the changes in every month and leap year. The Victorian walnut case features a delicate scroll and leaf detail and carved crown. The Ithaca name appears between the two dials on reverse painted gold leaf front glass.
A fully restored 8-day movement strikes the hour and half hour on a bell. This clock comes with a one year warranty.
