14K Yellow Gold Diamond and Tanzanite Tennis Bracelet

Some things are just destined for enduring distinction, and the tennis bracelet is certainly one of those things.  The tennis bracelet earned notoriety in the late 1980’s, as a favored bracelet worn by professional tennis player Chris Evert.  Originally all diamonds, the ever-popular bracelet has evolved nicely with the use of colored gems, often combined with diamonds.

This bracelet features 21 oval tanzanites (6.51 carat total weight) alternately set with 21 diamonds (2.31 carat total weight).  The fluidity of the bracelet showcases the lovely tanzanite hues and sparkle of diamonds perfectly.  A setting of 14k yellow gold adds to the overall quality and appeal.  While tanzanite is a relatively new gem, it is very desirable for its clarity and beautiful color hues of blues to violets.  Only found and mined in Tanzania, it has quickly become a favored gem.

This sophisticated and versatile tennis bracelet is  7″ in length and is a classic piece of jewelry.

Circa 1980.
