American Edison Red Gem Model Cylinder Phonograph with Cranberry Glass Horn
The American made Edison Red Gem model cylinder phonograph represents one of the smallest sizes produced. It comes with an oak carrying case with painted borders. The Edison name appears on the front of the case; the patent plate on the back. The Gem model plays both two and four minute cylinders and is spring driven. Six cylinders also come with the phonograph.
The most unique feature of this phonograph is the fluted cranberry to clear glass horn. Although not an antique nor original to this phonograph, it nonetheless provides an unusual departure from standard wood or metal horns.
This fully restored phonograph comes with a one year warranty.
