American Ithaca Model 3-1/2 Double Dial Parlor Calendar Clock with Skeletonized Dial Center

This Model No. 3-1/2 double dial parlor calendar clock by the notable Ithaca Calendar Clock Company of New York is a beautiful example of Victorian horology.

This exceptional calendar clock features two separate dials to display the time and date. Above, a black paper dial displays the time on contrasting white Roman numerals with a striking skeletonized center, offering a glimpse into the intricate mechanics at play. Below, the calendar dial displays the month and day of the week upon skeletonized digital display windows at the left and right, while the numbers are reverse-painted around the dial’s perimeter to indicate the numeric date. Furthermore, a perpetual complication enables the clock to self-adjust for every deviation in short and long months, days, and leap years.

The clock resides in an elegant walnut case adorned with carved ebonized trim and crown and delicately painted silver accents, evoking an air of refinement. Gleaming nickel-plated bezels frame both dials in striking contrast against the richly colored case. The intricately etched glass pendulum bob further enhances the clock’s stately presence, catching and refracting the light with every swing. At the heart of this mechanical marvel lies an 8-day bell strike movement that chimes on the hour.

This complex clock bears a complete restoration and a one-year warranty.
