American Victorian Walking Stick with Ball Top and Cast Sterling

This elegant and stylish walking stick from the Victorian era would certainly have been an accessory of status and gentility for its owner. It is characteristically ornamental and elaborate. The ivory-colored knob top and upper shaft are beautifully embellished with cast Rococo sterling silver ornamentation and banding. The hardwood shaft is warmly finished in a rich brown and fitted with a brass tip. American walking sticks date to the turn of the 20th century and are a wonderful fusion of artistry and functionality.
