American 15 1/2″ Disc Music Box by Porter

This modern disc music box from Porter Music Box Company carries on a heritage of live music from the Victorian era. A beautiful production named the Baroque, it exhibits an exquisite Italian-crafted bombe case with elaborate marquetry inlays, various exotic woods, and lovely musical trophy motifs.

The purely mechanical movement within features a double-comb and projects delightfully clear and rich melodies from the 15 1/2 metal discs. A simple winding of the side crank along with the quick flip of a lever sets the musical magic in motion.

A selection of six antique discs is included with this beautiful music box. In addition to hundreds of antique discs, over 1,000 titles are available on newly produced discs many of which are made by Porter.
