Breguet Classique Triple Calendar Reference 3040
Established in 1775, few brands have contributed as many mechanical achievements and design elements to the world of watchmaking as the House of Breguet. Among the firm’s most time-honored and recognizable models is the Classique which exudes elegance as the quintessential dress watch.
The reference 3040 personifies Breguet’s long tradition of exemplary watchmaking boasting a superb triple calendar design. The watch features a stunning silvered gold guilloche dial, masterfully hand engraved on a rose engine. Weekday and month apertures appear below the 12 0’clock, while an eye-catching serpentine sweep center hand points to the date on the inner chapter ring. The phases of the moon appear in an aperture just above the 6 o’clock, with the day of the lunar cycle in the arch. A perfectly balanced brushed silver chapter ring frames the dial, indicating the time on black Roman numeral hour markers with the iconic blued steel Breguet hands.
The timepiece dons an elegant and classically styled 36mm circular 18K yellow gold case with a smooth domed bezel and a textured coin edge finish along the mid-case perimeter. Within, a 30-hour power reserve automatic movement powers the watch.
The watch survives with its original factory case back sticker, which, combined with minimal wear to the movement and case, indicates the watch received little to no wear. The original factory Breguet sharkskin strap with a solid 18K deployment clasp finishes the watch perfectly.
This impressive timepiece carries an 18-month warranty.
