Chinese Lacquered Three-Panel Screen with Hardstone Carvings

This wonderful Chinese three-panel screen has the versatility of two different color palettes and can be used standing or hung. One side is two-tone having a black lacquered ground with soft gold landscape scenes. The other is a bolder display depicting hand-carved hardstone images in multiple panels, upon a lacquered ground of black outlined in deep red. The intricate polychrome hardstone carvings depict various enchanting Chinese flora and fauna. A fabulous and versatile work of art, suited to a variety of decor and uses.
