Chinese Miniature Bracket Clock

Standing at just 11 inches high, this delightful clock exemplifies expert Chinese craftsmanship and finesse. Inspired by the very popular English clocks, this lovely Chinese example is crafted in exotic rosewood. Stylishly embellished with carved scrollwork at the corners and aprons, and slim mirror accents. The case top bears a seal of Chinese characters.

Keeping the time within is an 8-day, 2-train fusee movement with a crown wheel verge escapement that marks the hour with a crisp bell strike. The time displays on a convex porcelain dial with Roman numerals, pierced hands, and a sweep seconds hand. Surrounding the dial is a beautifully engraved cast brass mask of floral and foliate design and a Chinese character above the twelve.

This sophisticated Chinese timepiece also bears a full restoration and a one-year warranty.
