Cushion Cut Blue-Green Tourmaline Ring, 3.08-Carats

Dating to 1920 this beautiful ring showcases a marvelous 3.08 carat blue-green cushion-cut tourmaline. The remarkably alluring stone is complemented by a substantial setting of lustrous 18K yellow gold, crafted with a great deal of artistry. The gem is raised in a bezel setting trimmed with wonderful braid detail, gold balls embellish the shoulders, and the band is fluted.

Displaying the widest array of coloring found in any gemstone, tourmaline is known for its intense and vivid hues. According to the GIA, it is “generally agreed that traces of iron, and possibly titanium, induce green and blue colors.” A beautiful result. This lovely ring is currently a size 5 and can be resized.
