Dutch 18th Century 18K Yellow Gold and Polychrome Open Face Pocket Watch
This attractive 18K yellow gold Dutch open face pocket watch most notably features a hand-painted polychrome scene on the back cover. It features two women in an outdoor setting at an altar performing what appears to be a ritual. The gold rim encircles the scene with enameled vines and flowers further enhancing the rim.
The watch dial is white enamel with Roman numerals and gold Louis XV style hands. Watchmakers Larpent and Jurgensen signatures are on the dial.
A key wind gilt full plate verge fusee movement powers the watch. The key sets the time by rotating an arbor in the center of the watch face. The movement is also signed.
The watch comes with an 18 month warranty.
