Elgin Campaign Style Wristwatch
This great-looking campaign-style wristwatch dates to 1917 and took its inspiration from the trench watches related to military campaigns of WW1. Characteristics of such watches are large easy-to-read dials with bold numerals and hands, often with some red numerals. This fine example was crafted by Elgin in a nickel case. Keeping the time within is a 7 jewel manual wind movement. The time displays on the original enamel dial appointed with Arabic numerals, spade & whip hands, minutes numerals in red on the outer dial, and a subsidiary seconds dial. This handsome timepiece is in wonderful condition and bears a complete restoration and an 18-month warranty.
