Miniature English Bracket Clock
Standing at just 9 inches in height, this handsome English bracket clock is beautifully appointed and masterfully crafted in Brazilian rosewood. The architectural style case features a stepped fan pagoda top and applied quoins to the front corners. An impressive array of cast brass ormolu depicting flora and fauna adorn both the front of the case and side frets. Elaborate foliate scroll feet support the case.
Within, an 8-day chain-driven double fusée movement keeps the time and marks the hour and half-hour on a tuned gong. A silvered and engraved dial with Roman numerals and fleur de lis hands displays the time. The dial also bears the inscription “Craighead & Webb, 1. Royal Exchange, London.” And finally, this very handsome bracket clock has been fully restored and carries a one-year warranty.
