English Victorian Oak Bracket Clock by Tiffany & Company
This Victorian period oak bracket clock marketed by Tiffany & Company is an outstanding testament to the iconic design house’s superb craftsmanship and artistry. The hand-engraved gilt brass dial displays the hour on Roman numerals within a silver chapter ring. Three subsidiary dials display the rate adjustment, chime selection, and strike and silent function. The clock houses an 8-day three-train fusee movement, chiming the quarter hours chime on a nest of bells and five tuned gongs playing your choice of Westminster or Whittington chimes.
The case is adorned with ornate hand-carved detail evocative of the late Victorian period ornamentation. Caryatid columns in the form of female figures flank either side of the clock face, surmounted by regal lions’ heads. The North Wind and elaborate scroll and leaf carvings further embellish this outstanding clock.
This clock bears a full restoration and a one-year warranty.
