French Carrera Marble Mantel Clock

This elegant French mantel clock presents in a crisp white Carrera marble case. The sleekly proportioned case is a slightly larger version of the popular pendule d’officier style with carry ring atop and raised on gilt brass feet. Beautifully detailed gilt bronze ormolu accents of floral and foliate form trim and embellish the case front and sides.

Within, an eight-day movement keeps the time and marks the hour and half-hour with a clear bell strike. The time displays on a convex porcelain dial fitted with pierced gilt serpentine hands, and with cobalt Roman numeral hour markers and black Arabic numeral minute markers. The dial is signed Young & Gillou, Paris.

This lovely French timepiece bears a full restoration and a one-year warranty.
