French Cast Brass Crystal Regulator For Tiffany & Co.
This dramatic mantel clock is a magnificent example of French clockmaking, marketed by the famed Tiffany & Co. of New York. Dating to the late 19th century, the clock boasts an ornate cast brass case with contoured beveled glass panels on all four sides. Opulent floral garlands, swags, and flowing acanthus leaves adorn the clock with beautifully crafted figural maiden heads supporting the two front corners.
At the center rests an impressive porcelain cartouch dial displaying the time on black Roman numerals accentuated by delicate scrollwork throughout the dial mask and center.
An 8-day movement bearing the Tiffany signature powers this clock, which strikes the hour and a half-hour.
This clock bears a complete restoration and a one-year warranty.
