French Champlevé Enamel Hour & Half Hour Striking Carriage Clock
This remarkable French champlevé enamel carriage clock is a captivating late 19th-century horological masterpiece.
This exceptional clock features a gilt brass Corinthian column case adorned with exquisite enamel. Richly colored bird and flower motif enamel artwork adorn the case at the columns, handle, and along the base. The vibrant hues and intricate detailing create a visual feast for the eyes, evoking the beauty of nature in its most enchanting form.
Glass panels on each side showcase the mechanical artistry within. An 8-day jeweled balance wheel movement keeps the time, which will strike the hour and half-hour on a tuned bell, further enhanced by a repeat-at-will triggered by a button at the top center of the case.
The time displays on an elegant silvered Roman numeral dial with a sweep center seconds hand and alarm dial below. Both dials rest within a finely executed engine-turned engraved dial mask.
This marvelous carriage clock bears a complete restoration and a one-year warranty.
