French Eight Sided Crystal Regulator

This unusual French crystal regulator has eight beveled glass panels; twice the typical four sided crystal regulator. The clock has a brass case and dial frame. The porcelain dial features painted garlands and also has an ornate brass centerpiece. The dial face has Arabic numerals.

A fully restored eight day movement strikes on a gong on the hour and half hour. Furthermore, a two jar mercury pendulum helps with timekeeping accuracy.

A medallion stamped “Marti et Fil” appears on the back of the movement.
