French Garniture Clock Set
A garniture clock set is typically comprised of three elements; the clock itself and two side accessories also known as the garniture. Furthermore, all three pieces are designed to complement one another.
The clock is a crystal regulator characterized by a beautiful Sienna marble case and six turned side columns. Brass feet and other brass accents further enhance the case. A beveled curvilinear glass door adds another interesting aspect to the clock. Side and back glass panels are also beveled. The side garniture pieces are shaped like urns and share the same marble and brass attributes as the clock .
A hand painted floral pattern graces a white porcelain dial with Arabic numerals. Pierced gilt hands add to the beauty of the dial.
A fully restored two train eight day movement strikes on a tuned gong on the hour and half hour. The movement is signed Samuel Marti and comes with a one year warranty.
