French Gilt Brass Art Nouveau Crystal Regulator
This French Art Nouveau crystal regulator is truly a specimen of horological artwork. Housed in an exquisite gilt brass case, curved and beveled glass panels surround the case on all sides. Scrolling ormolu further creates the natural undulating forms so quintessential to the Art Nouveau movement.
A splendid convex porcelain dial displays the time on striking cobalt Arabic numerals with delicate floral garlands adorning the dial center. Swaying beneath the clock face is a marvelously unique pendulum adorned with a hand-painted portrait of a stylish young woman in a fanciful hat rendered in beautiful detail.
Powering the clock is an 8-day movement that strikes the hour and half-hour on a gong.
This incredible clock bears a complete restoration and a one-year warranty.
