French Gilt Brass & Guilloche Carriage Clock
This enchanting late 19th-century gilt brass French carriage clock features mesmerizing craftsmanship. The focal point of the clock is a vibrant red guilloche dial surrounded by an eye-catching enameled dial mask. Beautiful gold Arabic numerals display the time with ornate gilded hands. The eye-catching dial mask features exquisite hand-painted urn and scroll ornamentation in white enamel upon a striking black enamel background, bringing true artistry to the clock.
The clock resides in an elegant gilt brass Corinthian column case. Within, an 8-day movement featuring a jeweled lever escapement with a balance wheel platform powers the clock, which strikes the hour and half-hour on a tuned gong. A repeat-at-will button at the top of the case allows the listener to hear the time chimed at will.
This mesmerizing clock bears a complete restoration and a one-year warranty.
