French Gilt Brass Portico Mantel Clock
This portico clock features excellent craftsmanship and lavish architectural design elements. Gilt brass columns rise from an ornate base to hold up a pediment top, creating the “port” shape distinctive to this design. Elaborate rococo-style scrollwork with flowers and garlands adorn the clock throughout.
At the center, a beautiful gilt scrollwork frame surrounds the clock face, which displays the time on a hand-painted Roman numeral porcelain dial. Below the dial, an ornate pendulum with an eye-catching decorative green stained glass medallion creates interest as the clock is in motion.
Powering the clock is an eight-day movement that strikes a bell every hour and half-hour.
This wonderful clock bears a complete restoration and a one-year warranty.
