French Pair Case Pocket Watch

This finely engraved French pair case pocket watch is a tremendous example of  horological skill. Set around the bezel are marcasites highlighting the face. The inner case is crafted of 18K gold, with a gold filled outer case. The watch features a rare exhibition back, a convex porcelain dial, and ornate cast hands set with additional marcasites. A verge fuse movement powers the watch. The dial and movement are signed Hefsen A. Paris. The result is an extraordinary timepiece and a beautiful work of art.
