French Rococo Style Mantel Clock
This impressive mantel clock exudes the graceful and lively Rococo style. The beautiful cast brass Boulle form case and supporting base display swirling scrolls and acanthus leaves, while a characteristic flourish of shell form appoints the top. Latticed frets backed with rich blue fabric adorn the front and sides, creating a breathtaking combination of colors.
Keeping the time is an eight-day mechanical movement, marking the hour and half-hour with a clear bell strike. The time displays on a porcelain dial with Roman numeral hour markers, Arabic numeral minute markers, and reverse trident hands. Additionally, this lovely timepiece bears a full restoration and a one-year warranty.
