French Rosewood & Satinwood Secretary Abattant
This marvelously designed French secretary abattant dates to the first half of the 1880s. Crafted of rich Brazilian rosewood, it features a beautiful and hypnotic burl grain. Simple yet refined carvings adorn the secretary’s exterior borders and interior corners, showcasing skilled craftsmanship. The drop front opens to reveal an elegant tooled leather writing surface, adding versatility and function.
The fitted interior is skillfully constructed with a set of nine luxurious and bright satinwood drawers. A mirrored back and shelf above create the perfect compact space for hidden display or storage.
