French White Marble Figural Mantel Clock
This charming French mantel clock displays lovely sculptural workmanship. Encased in smooth white marble, gilt brass figures of the Ancient Roman personifications of love and desire, Venus and Cupid, are featured on this clock in lovely detail. Flowers decorate Venus’ hair while flowing material drapes gracefully around her body, accentuating her form in amazing realism. Cupid’s arrows, musical instruments, swags, and garlands decorate the case in further adornment.
An 8-day movement powers the clock which strikes the hour and half-hour on a bell. At the center of the clock rests a delicately hand-painted convex porcelain dial displaying the time on Arabic numerals.
This delightful clock is fully restored with a one-year warranty.
