German Large Finely Carved Walnut Cuckoo Clock
A wonderful German cuckoo clock dating to the mid 1800’s. This clock is very finely carved throughout with a display of Black Forest foliage. A handsome pair of pheasants sits atop the clock while a unique spread of mushrooms is centered below. An 8-day spring-driven movement keeps the time with a cuckoo emerging to announce the hour. Carving to the dial center and porcelain cartouche provide added detail along with the carved fretwork hands. And finally, a rich patina adds to the overall warmth and beauty of the wood.
