German Small-scale Berlin-style Wall Clock
A beautifully proportioned wall clock dating to the late 1800’s and expertly crafted by the Hamburg American Clock Company of Schramberg, Germany. Located in the famous Black Forest region of Germany, HAC was a fierce competitor of Junghans and eventually the two companies merged in 1930. This fine example from HAC presents in a beautiful walnut case appointed with a myriad of carvings, turnings, and a lower gallery. The time displays on a brass dial with a porcelain Roman numeral chapter ring and fancy blued steel Vienna regulator-style hands.
Within, an 8-day mechanical movement keeps the time and marks the hour and 1/2 hour with a pleasing gong strike. Further, this lovely clock bears a full restoration and a one-year warranty.
