Gold and Enamel Equestrian Themed Wrist Watch
This wonderful and unique wristwatch was a custom creation. It was a collaboration by Marcus & Co. luxury jewelry retailer of New York and esteemed Swiss watchmaker C. H. Meylan. Beautifully crafted of 18K yellow gold, all the decorative pieces on this special wristwatch were handmade and fashioned as items of equestrian tack. Keeping the time within is a high grade 17 jewel manual wind movement signed C.H. Meylan, Brassus and numbered 1130. The time displays on a silvered dial by Stern Freres and is appointed with applied gold numerals and hands.
The inscription on the back plate testifies to the creation and provenance of this timepiece for the lady of a prominent Massachusetts family, a serious equestrian. The enameled buttons feature two favorite horses. This special watch is in excellent condition overall and bears a complete restoration and an 18-month warranty. The cord band is 7 inches and can be adjusted for a custom fit.
