Japanese Bronze Figural Sculpture of Old Man Climbing a Mountain

This cheerful Japanese bronze sculpture features a bearded old man with a walking stick climbing a mountain path. He is smiling and has fruit on a vine draped across his back. These same vines seem to be growing all around the pathway he is climbing. Perhaps he is going to his home after gathering ingredients for a meal.
