Japanese Cloisonne Glass Vase on Rosewood Base

This striking Japanese vase features a sinuous dragon encircling vivid iridescent red glass. The dragon motif utilizes the cloisonne technique whereby wire strips separate the design features from the glass background. The rim and base also employ the cloisonne process. The vase sits atop a carved rosewood base. The vase is 7″ high and has an 8″ diameter.
